hi everyone, i have or dipaksa from lecturer to do post about what have i learnt in the class. hihi. so today i would like to summarize chapter 1. i have to write at least 100 words about this chapter. with bismilahirrahmanirahim i will start :)

first chapter is business driven technology. why information technology important in business? why? it is because information technology is everywhere in business. through this we can easily do business. some company will do the open text. for example celcom put their organization in the internet. they do this to attract people to use their product, from that business is carry on.

information technology's impact on business operations. is it true that finance is the greatest benefits from information technology (IT)? no it's absolutely wrong, the answer is customer service which bring up 70%. the higher for achieve goals is reduce costs/ improve productivity and follow by improve customer satisfaction/ loyalty. some of the departments that have in IT are accounting, human resources, sales and finance.

okay now i want to explain a little bit about the basic of information technology. first, information technology (IT) is a field which concern the use of technology in managing and process information. this is how people get and share information. second, management information systems (MIS) is a general name for the business function and academic discipline.
last but not least is about IT cultures. IT cultures is divided by 4 there are information-functional culture (exercising influence or power over other), information-sharing culture (across department trust each other), information-inquiring culture (search information to better understand) and information-discovery culture (to create competitive advantages).

okay that's all about chapter 1 that i understand. i just hope lecturer will satisfy with my explanation. eh eh eh not only miss salina but who is reading my post. hihihi :D
